RUNAWANAK – Pisco Sour’s National Day

A good motive, a good route and a good destination, the former Runawanak’s reign now a days the reign of the fruit of vine and men’s work granted by generous mother nature and converted into a spiritous brew flagship of Peruvian winery industry to proudly celebrate what is Made in Peru.

Departure from Lima Sat Feb 4^th early morning to Cañete. Full day bike ride to arrive by sunset to our destination where a beautiful swimming pool is waiting for us to finish the journey and delicious energy restoring dishes: sopa seca con carapulcra, tacu-tacu y rissotto di camaroni together with the best Pisco Sours in the country so far.

We use a nice small hotel clean, plenty of hot water, quiet and not expensive (S/80 double room). With swimming pool and tranquil, apart from the noise the Pisco Sour celebration would produce in the town.

Sunday morning options are river rafting or bike ride exploring the rural trails in the área. After lunch return to Cañete and on to Lima.

Lima – Cañete – Lima
1. Private transfer on the CTP Wagon. 10 bikers + bikes.  Vehicle + driver + fuel + tolls, round trip total cost is S/600.  This sum can be divided among 10 bikers S/60 each. The smaller the group the higher the cost per person.

Saturday Feb 4th

Departure spot A. 6:30am from the Little park located just behind Cine Orrantia (next to the Javier Prado Ave. and Arequipa Ave. crossing)

Departure spot B. 7:00am Puente Benavides next to Ricardo Palma University

Also is posible pick-up from any bus stop or crossing on the way: Cine Orrantia – Av. Javier Prado – Trebol – Panamericana Sur – Puente Benavides – etc.  Call to figure this out.

2. Public transportation service. Bus Soyuz. Cost: S/25 + S/15 bike shipping = S/40 one way.

Departure: Sat Feb 4th 6:30am from Soyuz bus station, Mexico Ave. 2^nd block

BRING:
Bicycle in perfect condition –Bike rentals available just in case.  Helmet. Tool. Air pump. Spare tuve. Tire repair kit. Hydration fluid 1lt., there are shops on the way to re-supply. Gloves. Sunglasses. Sunblock. Insect repellent. Money for transport, accommodation and food expenses.

RECOMMENDED Book the hotel, chances to get full are high.

We, CTP – Cicloturismo Perú, do not go cycling on highways, driveways nor in the city because it is too toxic, dangerous due the cars and boring.  CTP rides are by good, safe, healthy and funny routes only.
